A beautiful book that has quite a bit of Extra
Dolly Wainwright is an executive coach who wanted to package her ideas and philosophies as a beautiful product. She wanted it to be unique, crafted and beautifully memorable. She came across a book I had previously designed and knew what she wanted so she got in touch and asked me to create her book for her.
The content was still rough so we worked together with an editor to get the text ready for layout and I prepared a series of visual concepts that could illustrate her ideas. The illustrations are intentionally playful and often cryptic. Paired with the text they create an added layer of meaning rather than just "show and tell".
The design of the book is highly visual and the design process was quite organic as it was largely lead by the illustrated elements. No two spreads are the same, so paging through the book is an energetic journey that lives up to her energetic personality and exciting ideas that are documented.
